Design is sometimes rearranging existing elements until they make sense.

Sometimes creating something out of thin air.

Always finding the perfect balance so form and function share the spotlight.

Hi! I'm an illustrator by training, educated at Parsons School of Design (NYC) back before using a computer was mandatory (yes, I’m that old).

Soon after I graduated, it was the first dot-com boom, so I had to quickly learn how to become a graphics wizard.

I held jobs at Microsoft, Nickelodeon and The Knot, as well as some traditional print magazines (remember Unlimited Magazine?) before going out on my own.

I was a full-time digital illustrator for many years but what I really love is picking apart bad design and making it better. I'm an editor and puzzle-cracker at heart.

I currently live in the area where I was raised (South Carolina's Lowcountry) but I work with people all over. The internet is great for introverted design-snobs like me.

I know you're dying to know:

Yes, I was born at the right time for a disco-inspired name, but my story is different. My folks just couldn't decide on a name so they called me Beegee for Baby Girl. They said I could change it later but once you get through 4th grade named Beegee, you stick with it. #tenacious
